I almost had to laugh when I saw this shot. It definitely speaks of childhood to ME ! But... only because I know what the challenge is. On it's own, this photo would not convey that message to me. I do think that your perspective, and idea, are unique and creative.

As an adult, this perspective is certainly different isn't it ? I like the b&w treatment. I don't know that this photo would "stand alone" in conveying the "childhood" message, but within the context of the challenge, I like the photo. lhall

I like most everything about this photo except the carnations. They seem out of place. I really like the basket and the colors as well as composition and DOF. It has a sort of "dreamy" quality about it. I honestly think a stuffed bunny would have fit the picture better than the red flowers. JMO ;) lhall

I like the shot, but I think I, (personal opinion only), would have preferred to see a highly contrasting background. I would like to see the pencils just "jump" off the photo at me. On the other hand, perhaps this sort of monochromatic look is just what you where after, and if so, then the blonde/black works well together. lhall
