I like the B&W, and the contrast. However, he doesn't really look desolate. He seems to be sleeping, and he has a wallet so I don't think he is homeless. Good street candid though

Simply a beautiful portrait, but not sure about the desolation?? On second look...there is just so much the I like about this picture...the lighting. the eyes, the way the hair is falling back. Granted she still doesn't really look desolated,,,,but...bumping score up to 8 (at least I can see a connection to the challenge and it is just too good of an image to leave at a 5)

Very nice idea. Some detail is lost in the whites it looks like and more of an angle to the flower would have been nice. Just my 2 cents

Very good bug picture! Is this just the outer shell that the bug shed? If so maybe a better caption would have helped..."only a shell of what once was" or something along those lines. This is a very good image though 7
