Compelling & disturbing all at once. I did not favor this one when I first went through - looking w/o voting - but coming through again reveals tom me how fickle even my own taste can be sometimes - ha ha...

I like what the light does here, but in this instance I find the grain detracts from my impression. Yes, it does do so much to counter the porcelain doll cliché but I almost feel like glossing the skin would have balanced it, adding a deeper sense of irony...

Piercing & evocative! She looks like she was in the middle of cursing you for stealing her soul!

I like her placement - perfect ROTs with foreground & background staggered to either side - though the leftmost vase is a bit much & begins to distract. I would have liked just a little more contrast here as well... Good luck!

Pensive & contemplative pose - not sure how many artists could pull this one off...

I love how all points lead the eyes with nothing else on any other plane to distract the viewers attention. The lighting is nigh spot on with perfect backlighting - I love how it brought out the grittiness in the face just enough to provide a grounding realism & authenticity to the pose.

Lovely subject - but framing/composition seems too centered & I would have preferred her positioned further right in the frame. I love all the patterns in the picture & a little boost in contrast would have helped bring all the textures out. << 7 >>
