Down into the Abyssby GeorgeComment: Very interesting shapes and lines throughout this image. The rotation works well as the cropping of the shapes and the diagonal lines through the image are really good. |

Great Tit by andyh3930Comment: Unfortunately the bird body is not sharp. A great attempt with the shallow depth of field to remove the distracting elements in the background. |

Soft Landingby wetlandComment: A brilliant capture of the bird......sharp and really well done.
For composition, I would have included more sky to the right, giving the bird an area to 'fly' into, placing the bird on the left line of thirds and balancing this image. That would have boosted the score even higher. |

S P E E D !by glad2badadComment: Normally, borders don't affect me, but this one does.......The red has no connection to the image and just looks out of place
Other than that, the image of the badge is alright, but the composition really seems a little boring. Something more dramatic, rather than the centred badge, would have worked better |

*Attention passengers, please remain calm*by snafflesComment: Not sure of the title (aircraft should be rotated for that one) but then again, I avoid bug-smashes.........
Clean crisp image that is well exposed......
But it does lack any wow factor.........Plane is on final but just blue and centered. there lacks any real dynamic aspect here to make it stand out |

Week 11 - The Fishermenby jasonlpriceComment: Like the composition....The streaked sky is great here....Effective use of the backlighting and great control to avoid the area where the sun is from being totally blown out |

Haulin' Arseby bspurgeonComment: The path is great....love how you have done that. Yes, it would have been better had the shell been all in focus, but pretty hard to do while still keeping the effect of the path. Some selective sharpening on the shell may have made this a little less noticeable (but would not have completely removed it) and that could have helped. I also would have cropped more of the foreground out (but none of the sides). While this would have changed the aspect ratio, it would have moved the snail away from the middle of the image, and removed the large white area at the front, while still maintaining the effect of the path....... |
