i think i understand what you were going for but I have to agree with mak that the focus is bothersome,perhaps if you had spot sharpened you could have kept the look you like with a little more broad appeal.

I love that you caught the vastness of this landscape...great contrast on the ground too....kinda makes me want to be a bum and jump on a train and ride the rails...
instead I'll just have to stick to being a bum and not riding the rails...

Where I live I hardly ever get to see trains or railway tracks. But when I was a small child, my grandparents used to live right beside a railway. When we went to visit them on our annual holiday, my bedroom used to face right out onto the railway and I could sit at the window at night and watch the trains going by. This photo makes me feel rather nostalgic for those days.

I'd give this an 8, if it wasn't that I know who you are, oh great photographer of sisters :) 8 because it is really well done, without being a setup or all gimmicky. Not higher than 8, because even though it is well done, it is still a fairly standard image, and I have to have room at the top, right?
