Mission San Jose.jpgby RedDotComComment: Excellent curves and flow in this image. I agree that a bit of contrast might brighten it a bit (though I would use curves to try to bring out some textures and tones in the walls while not blowing the windows, which you've controlled for nicely here). |

JessicaPortrait-33-V4.jpgby 777STANComment: I like this, it's well composed, though I would take the comments already made under consideration (I agree with Deb Melethia, as usual), too. It takes a lot of work to add light to an image, and this one doesn't quite work for me. |

Pretty Streamby VeioletsComment: Lovely curve in the stream, the top of an "s" (very pleasing to the eye); I'm sure by now (I'm very late) you're taking advantage of the chance to fully edit your shots, and I agree with Andi that I'd love to see this river as the seasons move on. |

Americanaby VeioletsComment: There is potential here, a slice of life, a place that is nowhere but everywhere. Good comments below on sharpness and shooting, though I might try it from a much lower angle, as well (but I have a preference for very low angles), perhaps even the level of a child's eyes. |

Week 3by bassboneComment: Wow. The light, the shadows, the mystery introduced not by hiding in shadows but by juxtaposing them with bright light, solid lines between them. Excellent. |

Sunday Afternoonby tnunComment: I like this, it has a great feel to it. I might have gone even a bit more extreme with the high key, getting rid of all of the trees outside to the extent I could, a blank canvas for the dog's imagination . . . |

main-02-03-08-5431.jpgby fixedintimeComment: This is a slice of life, straight off of so many main streets the world over. You know what you would do to change it, but it has a nice feel as it is. |

Pathway to the City-Week 2by of-snowComment: A good conversion with a good range of tones and nice flow throughout, but I agree that leveling would improve it to my eye (I don't mind tilted shots, but here the tilt doesn't seem to add anything). |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment: Good shot, and good comments on it. I hate doing artificial lighting (I can never get it right), it's a good thing to work on. For me, the right arm position (in the lower left of the shot) is distracting, and I'm not sure what it adds to the pose. |
