bathtimeby bucketComment: A fun image, and as usual, love the tones. Would like to see more life in the eyes, personally, but other than that it's just a great, playful image. |

Day 4: A Bubbly Personalityby Blue MoonComment: I like it a lot, but it suffers a little bit from focal point being off. It's focused more towards the back of the head and the bubbles, and unfortunately, has put the face a touch out-of-focus. I can see by your shutter speed that f/2.8 was pretty much needed here, but this is a shot that would have benefitted from an f/4 quite a bit. P&S cameras are a bitch to auto-focus properly at the best of times though.
The composition, playfulness, and conversion are quite nice though. Perhaps a little *too* dark in the hair. |

Dogby MelethiaComment: I'd really like to get into more street photography.. but a photographer with a social anxiety problem = difficulties. lol.
Heck, I can't even take a photograph if vehicles are passing me on the street sometimes.
This has a nice composition and a great candid feel, but it seems to suffer from camera shake a little.. or movement of some kind. Clarity is a little off. That's the only thing I'd look at trying to process, but I don't know if it's really that fixable. Otherwise, it has a great look to it. |

Day 4 - Bridge, Stormby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Not too dark really.. It's moody, and I like that. However, I think your shadows/highlights work was a little too strong in this case. Seems to have a "rubbery" appearance to me. |

Intenseby doc_gonzoComment: Spend a little more time with the eyes to pull them out of shadow. This will give the viewer more of a connection with your subject, and consequently, the photo. There are some easy ways to do this, and some not so easy. I'd try some simple spot dodging at first. Low opacity, don't over-do it. Do it on a layer so that you preserve the integrity, and you can always do slider adjustments if you go too far.
Other ways are to selectively work with shadows/highlights, curves, and levels.
Also, beware centered compositions with this type of shot, as it can become a little too static.
I'd also suggest using a little selective USM as well. The focus seemed to have grabbed the front part of his hair, leaving his eyes and face a little soft. |

Britney.jpgby robgs57Comment: I'd love to see more contrast on the model here. Especially her eyes/mouth, and the shadows in and around her hair and the hood on her jacket. It's got a nice soft focus look, but she doesn't have enough definition IMO, and feels just a little faded. |

Hiddenby RetroesqueComment: I like the mood and playfulness of the shot, but something about the composition doesn't fit here. I don't know if it's the negative space, or the blanket she's on, or both, but it seems unbalanced. |
