 I got this shot about 2 years ago in the Empty Quarter where the UAE borders Saudi Arabia--the dunes there are completely untouched and stretch for hundreds of miles. Summertime seems to be the best time to get these shots because what little vegetation is there dies out or goes dormant, but the downside is that it's ridiculously hot.

I always liked this shot, but back then I didn't have a good long lens, so I used my 50mm prime and cropped it way down. The final product is barely 1500 px on the longest side before resizing for DPC. I'm looking forward to going back this summer with my 70-200 :)

The very fist time I opened this, I thought it was skin... it was one of those I kept coming back to just to look at, who would've figured I would find sand that fascinating??? The curves just lead my eye every where and I see some new design every time I look at this! Those shadows and high lights and waves are da Bomb dude!!!

Only thing I don't like is you put a can of whop ass on me! (sticking thumb in mouth and stomping out of the room in a pout}

hehehe... seriously CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
