 Thank you all for the comments. This was a fun 2 weeks watching my score. This is the picture that put my "Favorite Pictures" over 100. Thanks again.

Post Process- Crop, Convert to Lab, Reduce Noise, sharpen, reverse the curve of the "b" channel. Convert to RGB, Select all, stroke, deselect.
Dulicate layer, mode "multiply", apply heavy gaussion blur, lower opacity, flatten.
Duplicate layer, mode screen, lower opacity, flatten.
Loosly select butterfly with lasso tool, select inverse, more blur.
Channel mixer
red channel r 110 g -5 b -5
blue channel r -5 g -5 b 110
green channel r -5 g 110 b -5
convert color profile to sRGB
resize, Save For Web

I finally submitted my entry for the Blue challenge a few minutes ago. When I came across this one during last minute voting (11:36pm), I said "holy sh#%" out loud. This would have been perfect for the Blue challenge, but alas, it is in the Best of 2005 and is definitely one of the best of the best!

Amazing blue tones you have here. I'll bet you are kicking yourself that you didn't have some foresight into the upcoming blue challenge hu? This would have rocked the competition in that challenge I'm sure.

DOF is dead on in this shot IMHO. I really like the softness of the flowers that the butterfly is perched on. Well done.

Lovely colours over the whole picture. The butterfly with spread wings looks great. The plant on the left is a bit untidy but I'm sure it's hard to choose your background with this subject.

Well, I'm half way through, and have seen a few nice butterfly pics. This is heads and shoulders above them all. As a matter of fact, I'm taking notes because I want to learn how to do it right!

Absolutely stunning. The cools tones of lavendar to blue just jump out at you. The softness doesn't deter the depth of detail. Upping to a 10. This is truly spectacular. Good luck - it deserves high placement.
