Hihi... The name...
I was sure that if I had just left the name Antarctica I would have received several comments saying no you did not go there... That is the reason for the 66°N name... So you would not think that I was lying... Guess I didn´t think that through :o)
Thanks for the good votes and comments.

Taken at sunset close to Hafnarfjörður, my hometown. The fact that the sun sets at around 5pm these days here in Iceland gives us only few hours of daylight. The weather this day was ok but very cold... -11°c and windy :o)

I used my filter (ND400) to get the long exposure..

pp. A little cropping due to a tilted horizon and some color adjustments... plus canvas..

Haha, þú hefur ekki nennt langt til að taka þessa, hvað ertu, 5 min að keyra þetta fyrst þú býrð þarna út í sveit? :P Flott mynd, hefði sennilega fílað hana enn betur ef hún hefði verið panorama og þetta hefði verið vinstri helmingurinn, semsagt verið annar eins rammi hægramegin :)

Great shot Ragga! I love it the colors of it and the soft effect of the ocean.

It certainly looks like Antarctica, and I know cause I am close to 78 degrees South right now!
Of course .. the water around here is pretty stiff at the moment and taking a shot at sunset is not an option as the sun is up 24 hours a day this time of year :-)

Ok, it must have been pointed out several times already ... if it's 66 degres north, it can't be a beach in Antarctica. ;-)
Anyway, it looks cold.

This looks like a postcard to me. You captured the white in the snow w/o blowing it out and got so many shades of blue in the sky. It's a very pretty scene.

This is one of the best I've seen so far. You took a really good picture and did a great job of making it into a postcard.

Antarctica beach at 66 deg North?!? I'll assume this is an Icelandic beach, i.e. an Arctic one. But enough quibbling, the colors and light are excellent. The glow around the outline of the mountains is distracting, but otherwise a great photo.

I really like the leading line of the coast line, and the snow adds a lot too.
