This is my first picture that I have posted. I took it outside in my back yard. I guess I really don't know what else to say! I will have to get better at this!

I love the colours and the whole feel of the photo--I really feel sorry for the abandoned pencil--well done---andrewm

i like the gray and green colors in this photo, and the waterdrops off the chair. your horizon doesn't seem quite level, it looks like the pen should roll off to the right. nice composition. -- gr8photos (5)

the color is great, looks like it was shot at dawn. and the tabletop looks wet, though it may well just be the texture in the glass. The chair in the foreground on the right distracts me though, and I wish the pencil had a more starring role in the shot. (5) ~mcmurma

Very nice angle. I like how you have done this with the chair in front. Sometimes this doesn't work, but it works nicely in this case. Now, I know the table is textured, but I think it also has water on it too. I would have stopped at the fact that the table was textured, if not for the 2 little water droplets on the chair. I was trying to figure out why the pencil was a bit distorted looking and I came to the conclusion that it is either because of the texture, or added water, or both. The grass looks really neat through the glass on the table. The lighting is great for portraying that "forgotten" look. It's dim light, but definately not too dim. Great shot and good luck in the challenge.

I'm not really sure how to go about commenting on this photo. I like the mood.. It reminds me of one of those afternoon thunderstorms and how the sun comes out afterwards... - jmsetzler

Could have been better quality, good idea though.

GREAT Job with this - brings out sadness. I like how the sun light is just barely highlighting the tip of the pencil. Really nice. 9

I like this, though actually like the abstract you'd get if you cropped in on the pencil and the glass, although it wouldnt show that it was a table out in the garden, I just love the texture of the glass with the green in it. I don't like the fat vertical of the chair.

too dark

Nice shot, it seems as if the pencil needs to be a bit more in focus as the focal point though.

Interesting picture, but not as sharp as I would like the pencil to be.

I love how the greens stand out in this photo, but I wish that the pencil itself attracted more of my attention. 6 -lennier
