 I've been meaning to photograph agave for awhile, so this challenge was the perfect opportunity (even if it turns into an "Agave Challenge"). I like how it turned out though, especially after inverting it after a last-minute inspirational browse through sherpet's portfolio (I find something new every time I look through it). While I hope voters in general will like it, I'm more hopeful that sherpet in particular will. Thanks for the inspiration. :-)

I had a colorized version of this, but it would likely have been DQ'd (according to SC's reply to my query before the challenge started), so I went with BW at the last minute. I love how it came out in BW though.

I PLEASED YOU MADE the RIGHT DECISION as it WORKS 110% for me in BLACK and WHITE.....
STONGER impact to the viewer in B&W but also looks soft like silk.
I thank you for pushing your broundries and entering this image.....

ANOTHER FAVORITE as not only do I LOVE AGAVES I ALSO LIKE BLACK AND WHITE IMAGES..... AWESOME LINES here LEADING LINES, DIAGIONALS, and also an etching effect re the silvery soft grey tones...I LOVE IT VERY MUCH and would have my NAME on this one no trouble at all re a SHERPET STYLE photo...

I really like this and I hope others do to. I have a feeling you might get hit by some voters because they may be expecting something full of color. However, I like how you have taken many of the classic Shez ingredients and given it a different look! Beautiful photo
