Thought it would do well for you, your son is so photogenic, I'm sure it's not the last we will see of him. |

I really love the dark on this one. Don't let anyone tell you it's too dark...

The child's expression and body language are wonderful, and I like the lowkey light. Can't make up my mind about whether I'd like the dog in focus or not ... usually I would, but this way s/he seems more stoic somehow, and there's emotion hinted at between the dog and the photographer (who presumably can rescue the dog from the child's grasp with a word). |

Really great photo... shame you chopped the dogs head off. Presume you used a large aperture (1-2) as the dogs nose appears to be slightly out of focus? |

this is a sweet shot although i feel the softness has been pushed a little too far over into out of focus territory, gave you a 7 :) |

"A man's or a boy's best friend" is the proper punctuation... But, golly! What a fabulous image! I wish there were a bit more space above Dog's head... but that kid's contented and loving smile... priceless! |

Great photo. I love the boy's expression and posture, juxtaposed with the dog which is sitting up straight. I get the sense of story here, which is what for me, makes a good photo great. This dog is the boy's rock. |

nice rich contrast. I'd have given higher marks if pooch's eyes were visible. But otherwise a very heart-warming image. The off-center really adds movement....enables me to imagine the boy has moved close to the dog for cuddles. |

Contrast is kinda dark for me (some light caught in their eyes would have been good) and the image is a bit soft, your strongest focus seems to be in the boy's sleeve for some reason. It's a lovely dog and a sweet moment though. |

The only thing that could've improved this image for me is if the dog was in focus, otherwise I love it |

I treuly think this is one of the best shots in the challenge. The soft focus has a powerful impact on this shot. I hope you aren't getting hammered for it. |
