Flouresceby greenem2Comment: GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB!
Wow, this is nice and I cant believe it didnt score better. Composition works great. Angles are very dynamic. Framing follows the Rule of Thirds almost textbook with the white dominating and then the tan and black taking up less and less. Its also nice how the hues are similarly graduated, progressing from light to mid to dark, and even the textures almost work the same. The light has an obvious patterned texture, the tan hints at some, while the black is void of any information whatsoever. A few have noted that the shadow towards the bottom is distracting. I initially felt the same, however it does at a certain change to the overwhelming linearity and sharpness of the lines/angles. At this point Im undecided. I do like the photo alot, and I am adding it to my favorites. |

Runners worldby kengurinnComment: Nice shot. I used to run long distance myself. Might have been a nice touch if you could have had the runner looking at the camera. |

B&W Magazine (The Joys of Summer)by SonifoComment: Nice tonal range, flowers and the hat are cute... I dont like something about the composition... needs a different crop or arangement. Cant quite put my finger on it. Nice photo anyway... |

National Geographicby magnetic9999Comment: I like this. Seems as if extraneous color (inbetween the faces and in the eye of the black) could have been minimized the photo might have worked better, just the red and black masks. |

Sky & Telescopeby Chilly0999Comment: Great Image. The only thing I might suggest is rotating this so that the cresent is more vertical than diagonal. Only because I think Im used to seeing it that way.... also might lend itself towards easier copy placement on the mag cover. Stunning detail in this shot though. Congrats. |

Solitary Treeby PedroComment: This has the potential to be a very nice picture. Good hues in the blues and greens, rule of thirds works nicecly with the placement of horizon and tree. I think this could be much improved if the bottom of the tree branches didnt touch the grass. As it now stands the leaves of the tree melt into the grass and its hard to destinguish between the two. With a slightly lower camera placement, angling more upwards, you could obtain some separation. |

Life Saverby AnnidaComment: I like the compositino and subject, the colors, especially the water, are a little too drab for my taste. |

Menacing elegance by jjbeguinComment: I think the title is the weakest part of this photo. Colors and focus are perfect. The black background seems a little cold or vacant, this picture might have done better with a more 'natural' background (grass, other flowers and such) even if faked. |

MERGEby photogooComment: I dont understand how you got the sky so dark near the horizon. The image looks edited/unnatural. Other than that the colors are pretty powerful, although I think saturated a tad too much. |
