You may or may not be aware that this is one of the photos being used in the online "publications" referenced here: DPC forum thread on LBNelert
I noticed it when I was searching for my own. There were so many from DPC that I could not document them all - if you want to have it removed, see posts from LydiaToo and Mike_311 on p. 5 of the forum thread. To locate it more easily, check both blogs and the main newsletter, starting with the dates when this challenge was in voting or shortly thereafter. |

| Wow, great shot considering what you or at least our eye went through. Hope this blue was worth it!! I thought you had just put your face behind a sheet of slightly warped glass and then laid the image on its side. Never guessed that you did use water!! |

| Another stunning shot. Well imagined and executed as we have come to rely on from you. Congrats on the ribbon. At the end of the hour and a half you should have switched sides and take one of the lovely blood shot eye looming above the water line. |

This is just tremendous. There's no doubting your photographic skills, but we shouldn't underestimate your modelling skills either. I book professional models all the time and I have to say I'd book you in a heartbeat. It is exactly this sort of commitment to an image that makes all the difference.
With both these sets of skills, matched with standout post-processing ability and a great conceptual imagination, it's no wonder you grace the front page so often.
I'd be pleased to get this shot of a model, to pull it off as a self is boggling. Well done.
(I think the eye is not at all overdone - it anchors and is key to the image) |
