I like your take on perspective and this is a great image. I would have cropped it midway through the sand on the bottom. I think this photo would have better balance with the horizon at the bottom third of the photo. I don't thinkyou would loose the expansive feel of the image with respect to the children, even corpped tighter on the bottom.

Would have loved this shot with more DOF. I like where the depth of field fades behind his head, but this would have been a powerful image if it were sharp all the way to the front of his head. Still pretty amazing, though!

I'm a big 'flag' fan and I like this shot a lot. Perspective is great, and the shape of the flag is excellent. How many shots did you take to get this great composition? I've shot 20-30 shots of flags in the past and wound up not liking any of them. I like the way you can see both the front and the back of the flag due to the way it is waving. The only thing I can think of to make this shot better would be to bring out the white of the stars in the flag. Spot editing rules don't allow it, but it would be fun to see this photo doctored up a bit in Photoshop. Over all, an excellent copmosition, great perspective... Good job!

No doubt about it, that's perspective! Your focus, DOF, lighting is all great. The depth of blue in the sky is really outstanding, and I like the clouds in the corner, although it would have been nicer if they were whiter to give more contrast. Adjusting them to white would have blown elements in the tower, though. I realize it's against the rules for this contest, but it would be interesting to see this with more contrast in the details of the tower itself. Maybe the burn tool in Photoshop (or similar method in another program) would bring out the details in the tower walls. Nice job on this shot and good luck in the challenge!

I think your choice of DOF makes this shot for me. If all were sharp, it would just be another flower picture. Perfect background choice! These colors work very well together. Lighting is perfect, with no shadows. Is that a blue card or sky? Feels 'studio' to me, so I'm guessing blue card/paper/material. Excellent detail at the stem and the shape of the petals, with bright red on top and pink on bottom makes for an interesting composition and shape. Very nice! 8

Love the action depicted in this shot, more by the expression on her face and the implied motion. Cute girl. I would have liked to see her left arm, right side of the photo completely in the photo. Still a great shot! 8

A very simple image, but also impactful! The geometry of this shot is very good. I like the vertical strings against the curve and inlay shapes. Reminds me of putting things inside my Dad's guitar when I was little (he didn't like that very much!). Nicely done! 8

One of my favorites this week. Shape and form are perfect, cropping is great. Simple border is very effective. Lighting is excellent on the stem and leaves, tiny bit blown out on the top of the flower. I would have clipped the small leaf in the background at the bottom left of the flower--it's a little distracting. A very nice photo-Good job! 9
