Blacksheepby whobeeComment: I hope you explain how you did this in your comments or notes. I notice your's is the only pic i've seen where the pencils were sharpened by knife rather than by sharpener. It adds some nice texture and lighting surfaces. |

refractionby brent matsuoComment: (muted trumpet) Ba Ba Bwee Bah. That one pencil hiding behind the glass (standing) is distracting with the eraser peeking out. Nice concept, and fairly well executed. |

One of a Kindby bdshortComment: DOF works here, though it's not overly necessary since the color is what makes the picture. I might suggest a pencil with a bit more color to it - Dixon-ticonderoga, for example, uses green lettering - this would stand out the pencil a bit more. |

Negative Space Odysseyby FrooberComment: Is the eraser cracked on the lower pencil? Creative idea, but that line/crack in the eraser is a distraction. |

Homegrown Pencilsby xertionComment: Might work better if the pencils looked like they were actually IN the ground (as if they'd been planted) without the visible trench. It looks like the pencils were just shoved into the ground, which I know they were, but it looks too staged. |

Love noteby rapsiii3Comment: Very cute. The shadows give it a sort of secret admirer look. |

Pencil-vaniaby alanfreedComment: I'm from Pennsylvania, and I find this extremely creative and funny. Mind if I save this and use it as wallpaper on my PC? |

Pencil Guardby undergroundComment: It's a little dark, and the pencil isn't necessary in the pic. I'm scaling on necessity of the pencil to make the shot, and this one seems only to be there to meet the challenge. |

More than meets the eye...by HBunchComment: The glare on the eye, mainly the disc right by the pupil, is distracting here. I like the level of detail shown otherwise, and it's a good effort. |
