Very nice. I was surprised at the amount of Self portrait photos. I saw a similar looking guy in the challenge archives, I believe it was in the Table Top challenge, or the From the ground up challenge. He was stomping on the camera lens or something Anyway, the lighting here looks perfect. Very creative way to make the little man drawing and great drawing of the little man drawing. The angle couldn't be better. I noticed that the pencil is leaning a little to the left, but also noticed that it's leaning in the self portrait too, so great job and good luck in the challenge.

I really wanted to give this a 10. There is humor, creativity, lighting is perfect. However, I wish the frame was better. I don't like seeing the edges of the paper. I could see this as a poster hanging in a office. I know shots from above are really hard to get, especially if you don't have a tripod. Just keep trying at it and take LOTS of pictures of the exact same thing. Great shot and good luck in the challenge. 9

At first, my opinion was that this did not meet the challenge, as you know many people wondered about that. However, it was brought to my attention that the definition of pencil would allow this to qualify. So, setting that aside, on to the photo. The angle and lighting are good. The red and white bar is kind of blocking the um...subject. However, there is a humor factor in there with the sign in the background of the subject. I have to imagine the looks you were getting while trying to take this photo. It took balls to get this photo. (no pun intended). Not something I would hang in my livingroom, however the photo is well executed. Good luck in the challenge.

Very colorful. I'm not sure I understand reference to the title though. Unless you're just refering to a fan. Ah, who cares. This isn't a title contest. The colors are great, great spacing in the pencils and different colors. I like how the words are up on all pencils. That shows you took time to make this artistic. The lighting is great. No distracting shadows or bright spots. Nice job and good luck with the challenge.

This would be really cool if he was writing on one of those name tags they make you wear at get togethers. I'm a big fan of gumby. I like the angle and the lighting is great. No funny shadows or bright spots. I like the soft focus on this photo. I'm not a huge fan of soft focus, but gumby isn't suposed to be sharp and crisp, so it works for me. Good luck in the challenge.

This is a very nice photo. Well executed. My only 2 hangups would be the shadows on the back, and the cropped arm. Great use of pencils. Other than the shadows, the lighting is great and angle is also great. The pencils are subtle but definately there. Great job and good luck in the challenge.

LMAO. This is absolutely hilarious. And it's visually appealing also. You did an excelent job with this. Lighting is great. There are no distracting shaddows, or bright spots. If any of us has seen a line up on TV, it's always made through the glass. Therefore, I LOVE the reflections of the pencils. Wonderfully framed and high humor impact. I could hang this on my wall. I even like how the "culprit" has different hair. Excelent shot, 1 of 6 10's this week. Good luck with the challenge.

They may be just pencils, but they are pencils presented in a very artistic manner. You did a great job with lighting, angle, spacing and I like how the pencils stand off of the background. The focus is neat being sharp in the front and fading to a soft focus in the back. Great job and good luck in the challenge.

There are quite a few photos of drawings this week. I have to wonder though, how many people are judging the drawing rather than the photo. This photo is very nice with the focus and the sharp tip of the pencil more obvious and clear than the drawing. This photo seems like a photo of a pencil, rather than a photo of a drawing that just happens to have a pencil in it. Great lighting and the angle is also very nice. Great job and good luck in the challenge.

I'm the red pencil right now. LOL. Except maybe I wish I were in Alaska where it isn't so darn hot and humid. This is a cute idea. It has originality and creativity. Lighting, angle and focus are great. Congrats and good luck with the challenge.
