I'm here, too. Not a big fan of organized church as such, but Jesus is my saviour. You don't have to look far around here to find atheists, socialists, and even some communists, and they're not shy about bashing us. Be visible and vocal with your faith. We are the salt of the earth.

Come April 23rd, it will be two years since I was baptized and saved by Jesus. There are days I doubt and question some things, but God continues to take me by the hand (sometimes gently) or hits me upside the head with a 2x4 so I can learn and grow. I've found a wonderful church and group of christian friends that I can't imaging not having in my life. God truly blesses us all!

Serious comment: Art, that was beautiful and it is obvious this comes from the heart. And religion and faith should be questioned, or else one will not learn from it.
Not so serious comment: I'll never look at a Village Burner in the same way any more :P |

I still struggle to see how a political view (social liberal) is classified with the religions. It seems to say that social liberals are not Christians. I am a Christian, no specific denomination because I feel none of them are 100% right. I grew up Catholic, but stopped going after high school. I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe he was the son of God and died for our sins. I do not believe that other religions are wrong, they all teach the same basic thing.... treat your neighbor as you would yourself. As far as the "social liberal" in me (which is not the same thing as a economic liberal) I try to be on the moderate end. I see social and conservative ideas i like. It's when religious people mix up religion and politics and try to force their morals on the country through laws that makes me sick. Believe what you want and let me believe what I want and stop mixing politics and religion!!!!

I'm not perfect, just forgiven. It grieves me to see self-professed Christians not acting that way to non-Christians. That's why I don't have a "fish" or Christian bumper sticker. When I cut someone off on the freeway I don't want them associating my sometimes bad behavior with my beliefs.

Me, Me, ME! My relationship with God thru His Son is THE most important thing in my life. And, I still find it mind blowing that someone could look at all the hard evidence (if they would really DO that): scientific, historic, journalistic and archeological evidence and doubt that Jesus was who he said he was. And if he was. . . there are going to be some very rude awakenings once eternity is faced.

Was your daughter the lead? She did very well! Our youth group is learning that one for a mission trip in Alaska. I love it, and it stings my heart every time I see it.
For any interested, State of the Arts by Gene Edward Veith JR, is a very interesting book about art in general. He writes a lot about God's purpose for the arts, his love of the arts, and God's own creative nature. Very, very interesting, I'm enjoying it a lot.
